Communication is the life and spirit of every society. No society can survive without an effective communication system. In the initial stages technology was sophisticated which required training or education. People had to be initiated into the technology to use it but, digital revolution resulted in the proliferation of personal computers and window-based operating systems have brought technology nearer to the common people. In other words, instead of the common man familiarizing himself with the technology, technology is endearing itself to the common man.

The digital revolution made a visible impact on information and communication technologies and made it feasible to express vastly different types of information like texts, audio, video and multimedia as bits and bytes. It is a well known fact that we Indians gave the zero to the world. Without zero, bits and bytes of the digital revolution would not have become a reality. With this in mind, the Hindu Society of Central Florida (HSCF) set upon itself the task of continuing from where our ancestors left by bringing the digital technology of communication and information to the door steps of each and everyone so that, the “bits and Bytes” of our vast pool of spiritual, intellectual, cultural and social content that exist in the form of texts, audio, video and multimedia can be effectively shared.

HSCF takes pride in stating that it is the first Hindu organization in the United States of America to incorporate the state of the art Media Management and Distribution System into its website. The User-Interface or the Media Player is the front end of this system that sits on its website. The back-end of the system is the Media Management System which is web based and accessible remotely.

The system allows seamless upload, secure storage and convenient management and distribution of video, audio, photos and pictures. The same Media Player can play audio files, video files, photo slide shows and display pictures. The System will accept video file formats such as: WMV, .FLV, .MP4, .AVI, .MPG and .MOV and audio files such as: .WMA, .FLA, and .MP3

We request everyone to register with us to gain access to the content made available on the Media Player. You will be able to watch and listen to all the audio-video files, create your own ‘Play-List’ of your favorite audios and videos, view all videos and pictures in full screen. Share audio, video and photos with your friends and relatives or send a video link to them.

The Hindu Society is again proud to state that it is the first Organization in the world to offer individual private or personal Media Players to all it’s members along with 100GB of digital storage space. When you procure one private Media Player for yourself, you will not only be able to transfer your favorite audio, video and photos from the main Media Player (on the temple website) into your private and personal Media Player but also upload your own audio, video and photo files to it. As each private/personal Media player comes with an unique URL, it can be independently accessed. This means you can now create your own network of friends and relatives around the world and share your media files.
